Rumour had it that the Frenchman was on his way to Turkey to join the Yellow Canaries, but the Istanbul side now feel that the midfielder is too expensiveFenerbahce have decided to pull out the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra at the advice of head coach Aykut Kocaman, Sabah reports.
The Istanbul giants initially saw the former Arsenal man as the perfect addition to their midfield, but the trainer believes that the France international does not represent value for money as the combination of his high wages plus a transfer fee will hurt the Yellow Canaries' financial position.
Diarra appears to be surplus to requirements at his current club as Madrid are ready to cash in on the 27-year-old if a good offer comes in.
Nevertheless, a move to Fenerbahce no longer seems to be an option following the club's refusal to splash the cash for the player.
The former Chelsea midfielder has also been linked with Galatasaray, with a recent report suggesting that Cimbom are ready to meet Diarra's wage demands.
