The Portugal international netted his seventh hat-trick of the 2011-12 Primera Division season to help Madrid to the full three points at the Vicente Calderon, and Callejon was thoroughly impressed with his display.
"Cristiano is the best player in the world. He does things no one else can," Callejon stated to the official Madrid website.
The attacker then went on to admit that Atletico made things hard for Real, but was very pleased with the final outcome of the game.
"Atletico made it hard for us and equalised in the second half after putting pressure on us. We eventually earned a very important victory that allows us to keep our four point cushion. We must now prepare as best as we can for our next league game.
"The squad is fine. There was a bit of pressure because of how much there was at stake, but we did our job. We gave a good performance. We didn't give them any room, and we were calm and patient. We have to do our best and focus on one game at a time till the end."
Real Madrid currently hold a four-point lead in the Liga table over arch-rivals Barcelona.
