The Turkey international is out of contract at the end of the season and there have been reports that the 31-year-old has already agreed to move to the Vicente Calderon.
The player's representative, Ahmet Bulut, insists that nothing has been decided as of yet, but did reveal that he expects to meet with Atletico officials next week.
"At the moment, there is no direct contact with Atletico Madrid," the agent told Radyospor. "It's early to say this.
"I'm going to watch Arda Turan in Atletico's Europa League match against Hannover [on Thursday].
"I think we will meet during this time. But it's still early. We'll see at the end of the season.
"There are many alternatives in Europe for Emre. One of them is Atletico Madrid."
After beginning his career at Galatasaray, Emre returned to Turkey in 2008 to join Fenerbahce after spells with Inter and Newcastle United.
