Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has left out Xavi for his side's La Liga clash at Mallorca on Saturday evening, with Thiago included in a four-man midfield and three at the back.
With Dani Alves suspended following his red card in the 5-3 win over Granada earlier this week, Guardiola has opted for a three-man back line formed by Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol and Javier Mascherano.
Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets accompany Thiago in a midfield made up of four Spain internationals.
Xavi, meanwhile, is on the bench with the Milan match looming, while Alexis Sanchez and Pedro join Lionel Messi in attack.
