The promising youngster has spoken of his admiration for the Argentina international, and was pleased with Barcelona's 5-3 victory over Granada on Tuesday evening

Barcelona attacker Isaac Cuenca has voiced his opinion that team-mate Lionel Messi is 'simply amazing' and feels that the 2011 Fifa Ballon d'Or winner is the best player ever.

The Argentine forward netted a hat-trick in Barcelona's 5-3 Liga win over Granada on Tuesday to become the Catalans' all-time top scorer with 234 goals, and Cuenca has nothing but praise for the 24-year-old.
Camp Nou king: Messi cements his legend status at Barca with new record

"Leo Messi is simply amazing, he’s the best in the world and he proves it on a daily basis. For me, he’s the best ever," Cuenca was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"It will take years to see someone else do something similar to what Messi does. We have to enjoy him and his plays."

The young attacker then went on to reflect on Tuesday's victory, and stated that the title race is not over yet.

"We managed to score more goals to win the game. I feel great. The Liga title is difficult to win but we have to see if we can keep on winning out matches in order to keep our possibilities open."

Barcelona currently trail table-toppers Real Madrid by five points, but the Blancos have a game in hand.
