thumbnail Hello,

The Spain international is not intimidated by the prospect by facing the in-form Los Blancos in their own backyard, and believes that they can cause the league leaders problems

Santi Cazorla has been buoyed by Malaga's recent surge up the La Liga standings and is in no doubt that they can do "damage" when they face table-toppers Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

Los Blancos have been in scintillating form of late and have been beaten just once at home all season, by Barcelona in December.

However, with Malaga having won their last three games on the bounce to climb to fourth, Cazorla is looking forward to his side's trip to the Spanish capital.

"This has been a good week for us, resulting in very positive position in the table which gives us much more confidence and tranquillity," the winger told reporters on Thursday.

"[Madrid] are a tough opponent and very strong but we must face them [ head on]. We can do them damage. We must be aware that we can win.

"And we will go out to try and win, as we do in every game. We need audacity and to know that in a one-off game, anything is possible."

Cazorla, who has been capped 40 times by Spain, joined Malaga from Villarreal last summer for a reported fee of €21 million.
