Madrid beat CSKA Moscow 4-1 on Wednesday in the second leg of their round of 16 encounter to book their ticket for the last eight, and Benzema relishes the opportunity to go face to face with his compatriots in the next round.
"As a Frenchman, I would like to meet Olympique de Marseille in the quarter-finals. However, at this stage of the competition, there are only great teams left," Benzema said to reporters.
"We all knew what had to be done against CSKA and we all gave a great performance. All that mattered was reaching the next round. We are well aware of the importance of this competition."
The France international then went on discuss his fitness, and stressed that he is 100 per cent match fit again after a brief spell on the sidelines.
"I no longer have any physical problems."
The Champions League quarter-final and semi-final draws take place this Friday in Nyon at 11.45CET.
Real Madrid resume domestic action on Sunday when they take on Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu.
