The Spain international believes there are no easy games left in Europe's top club competition and assured that his side will be ready to face Barca if they are drawn together
Jose Mourinho's side beat CSKA Moscow 4-1 in Wednesday's round of 16 second leg to book their ticket for the final eight, and Alonso has affirmed that they are not worried about the possibility of facing Barca.
"The seven other teams that remain in the competition deserve to be here. The draw on Friday will be interesting, but the quarter-finals will be very exciting regardless of who our opponents are," Alonso stated to the official Madrid website.
"There are no easy games left and if the draw determines we should face Barcelona, we will fight to the very end."
The 30-year-old then briefly discussed Wednesday's win over CKSA, and acknowledged that Madrid's second goal effectively put the match to bed.
"The match was open until we scored our second goal, but we felt more comfortable in the second half, especially after [Cristiano] Ronaldo's strike."
Friday's draw in Nyon to determine the quarter-final and semi-final fixtures starts at 11.45CET.
