The chief of the Catalan club has guaranteed that there is no tension between defender and coach and blasted the TV channel for reporting 'lies' revolving around the clubBarcelona president Sandro Rosell has dismissed reports that coach Pep Guardiola and defender Gerard Pique fail to see eye-to-eye with each other.
A report in Telemadrid earlier on Monday had claimed that the duo had developed an icy relationship and that, as a result, Guardiola did not want the 25-year-old in the squad for 2012-13.
After Pique was in the stands during Barca's 3-1 victory against Bayer Leverkusen, it was already suggested that all was not well between the defender and Guardiola, but Rosell has come out to put an end to speculation about the atmosphere in the dressing room.
"This is completely not true, it is a calumny and has no foundation whatsoever," he told TV3.
"At Barcelona, all decisions about new arrivals and player exits are made by Guardiola and [sporting director Andoni] Zubizarreta.
"It is a shame that public TV channels like Telemadrid are playing this game and that in a time of crisis, public media are trying to misinform people with lies.
"I would be worried if I paid taxes in Madrid."
