Jose Mourinho is believed to have made up his mind to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and return to the Premier League.

The Portuguese boss has overseen a lot of success on the pitch with his team establishing a seven-point lead in La Liga, beating Zaragoza 3-1 on Saturday night while rivals Barcelona were held to a goalless draw at Villarreal.

In European competition, the nine-times continental champions have managed to win every match they have played in the Champions League this season, and have been drawn against CSKA Moscow in the first knockout round of the tournament.

But The Sunday Times reports that Mourinho is unhappy with the resistance with which he has been met off the pitch, and has made up his mind to return to England.

The 49-year-old boss previously managed Chelsea between 2004 and 2007, winning two Premier League titles, two League Cups and one FA Cup prior to his sudden departure.
