Barcelona's Xavi has accused Real Madrid of being sore losers and lashed out at Lassana Diarra for his "animal-like challenges" in a video clip that was leaked to the press.
The Spain midfielder is shown discussing los Blancos as he awaits the start of an interview with the club's in-house TV channel.
Addressing Real Madrid's complaints after Wednesday night's Clasico at Camp Nou, Xavi states: "They are incredible... they don't know how to lose."
Madrid coach Jose Mourinho had intimated after the 2-2 draw that his players did not believe it was possible to defeat their rivals in their own backyard because of outside influences, while defender Sergio Ramos claimed that Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets had feigned injury to get him sent off in the closing stages of the Copa del Rey clash.
According to Xavi, though, Diarra should have earned a second booking for an earlier foul on Lionel Messi.
"It is very clear," the Ballon d'Or nominee argued. "I told the referee: You've just booked Messi and a similar challenge goes unpunished, because it's his second one... Send him off."
Xavi then said of Diarra: "It's the player's fault, because he makes animal-like challenges."
Barcelona are currently investigating how the video clip was leaked to the media.
