Barcelona midfielder Xavi has expressed his delight with his side's Copa del Rey Rey quarter-final victory over Real Madrid, and admitted the Blaugrana really suffered against the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
The Catalans recorded a 2-1 away win over Madrid in the first leg last week, and sealed qualification with a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.
"We suffered more than we thought we would against a superb team, even though we dominated up until the 15th minute of the second half," Xavi was quoted as saying on the club's official website
"At the Bernabeu we were superior, today [Wednesday], not so much, but we won the tie. It’s time to enjoy it and celebrate.
"Sometimes you forget what this team is accomplishing, but it’s extremely difficult and we have to enjoy it. Seeing how difficult reaching the semi-finals was, we enjoy it all the more."
Barcelona will meet either Valencia or Levante in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
