The Barcelona coach's contract expires at the end of the season, fuelling speculation that the 41-year-old's four-year tenure at the club could be over this summer.
However, Faus is expecting the situation to be resolved soon, and once again voiced the club's hope that Guardiola stays with his current employers.
"We want Pep to continue for many years. We're expecting his decision in the next few weeks, and we hope that his answer is yes," Faus told Sport.
Meanwhile, Faus called upon the side to not fall victims of complacency in the Copa del Rey quarter-final return leg against Real Madrid, despite the Catalan club going into the match with a 2-1 advantage.
"On Wednesday we are the favourites in principle, but against Real Madrid there are never favourites.
"It's not impossible that Real Madrid will beat us, there is nothing that is impossible. It's true that we have been good against them, but when you think something is finished, you can stumble."
Barcelona host Real Madrid at Camp Nou at 22.00 CET on Wednesday.
