The Spanish coach is confident the Colombian striker will score many more goals at the club and noted he is happy with his side's display in their first league victory
The Colombia international played a key role in Atletico's first La Liga victory with a hat-trick, which was added to by Adrian's late header.
Falcao had scored his debut goal for Atletico in the 2-0 Europa League victory over Celtic in midweek after failing to find the net against Valencia in his first appearance for the club.
Manzano believes Falcao is starting to show his credentials as a prolific scorer and is sure the former Porto striker will be a big hit at the club.
"I am very happy for what he did," Manzano said during a post-match press conference. "Against Valencia things did not go his way and today [Sunday] he demonstrated what he is capable of doing.
"He is a good finisher, very skilled and opportunistic. We have to play the ball to where he can move and he will score many goals.
"Today is the beginning of Falcao's long history with Atletico."
The 55-year-old said he is pleased with the team's display and feels his players are starting to sink his ideas in.
"The team continue improving in terms of trying to control the ball, the game and create chances," Manzano added.
"We did a very good job, considering we played against Celtic three days ago."
