Boca Juniors' Sergio Araujo cools Real Madrid talk as he expresses Barcelona admiration

The Santiago Bernabeu side have the first option to sign the Argentine forward, but the youngster seems to prefer a move to Catalunya
Boca Juniors attacker Sergio Araujo has downplayed rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid and has indicated that he prefers to watch Barcelona in action.

Madrid have first option to sign the exciting 19-year-old forward, but Araujo would rather not join up with the Santiago Bernabeu side, as he claims he doesn't enjoy watching Jose Mourinho's team.

"I have always watched the great teams in La Liga since I was a kid: Barcelona and Atletico Madrid... I never watch Real Madrid. They don't have any players who I like, not even Cristiano Ronaldo," Araujo said to Sport.

"I watched last season's Champions League final at home with two friends and jumped off the couch to celebrate Lionel Messi's goal. He's my favourite Barcelona player. He plays different for Barca than for Argentina because he has brilliant team-mates like Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta."

Araujo has already represented Argentina at under-20 level and is regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in South America.
