LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has praised Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo in the wake of his side's 4-1 friendly loss against the Spanish giants on Saturday.
Ronaldo scored his first goal of the 2011-12 campaign when he beat the Galaxy goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match and Beckham was impressed with the attackers strike.
"Cristiano Ronaldo's goal was amazing, but he can do that whenever he wants, he's that kind of player. He's such a great talent," Beckham said to reporters, according to ESPN.
"I've said during the week that he's not just one of the most technically gifted players in the world, he works hard. A player doesn't get to that level without working hard, without doing the stuff right that he needs to do to be the best player in the world. He's exceptional."
Real Madrid take on Chivas Guadalajara in the second game of their USA tour before taking on Philadelphia Union on July 23.
