Espanyol have unveiled new signings Hector Moreno and Didac Vila to their supporters alongside the side's sporting director Ramon Planes and German de la Cruz, one of the club's directors.
Moreno moves to the Catalan outfit from AZ for €4 million while Didac Vila rejoins the club on-loan from AC Milan for the season.
Espanyol have earmarked their defence as a position they need to strengthen as the club look to qualify for Europe next season.
Moreno, who spent three seasons in the Netherlands believes the transfer is what he needs for progression in his career.
"Coming [here] was the best for me to continue growing as a player and a person. It was good to have European football [at AZ] but I lost ambition and the hunger to achieve important goals. I'm here to contribute to the best of my ability," the defender was reported as saying in AS.
Didac Vila, who has recently arrived from Denmark with a European Under-21 Championship winner's medal also spoke of his loan move.
"It's as if I haven't left. By not playing [at Milan], you get stronger and want to take every opportunity to try and succeed. Milan are very happy with my potential," he added.
Both players will join up with the first-team as the side gear up for the upcoming season with Espanyol's first game of the season against recently-promoted Granada on August 20.
