The Bosnia international has said farewell to the French competition as he will continue his career in La Liga for the next three years
Contract: Jun 2014
Sevilla have completed the transfer of Bosnia-Herzegovina international Emir Spahic from Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier for an undisclosed fee, with the centre-back signing a three-year deal with his new club.
The Spanish club were eager to add some more steel to their back line and had also been linked with Hoffenheim's Marvin Compper, but eventually decided to swoop for Spahic instead.
The 30-year-old previously wore the jerseys of clubs such as GOSK Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Torpedo Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow before joining Montpellier in the summer of 2009, where he has since developed into a key player at the French club.
The experienced stopper is the Andalucian club's fourth signing this summer after previously securing the services of Coke, Manu del Moral and Piotr Trochowski.
