thumbnail Hello,

Spanish forward has confessed that he would be open to a move to the Italian capital to continue to work with his former coach

Barcelona B striker Jonathan Soriano has admitted that he would follow Luis Enrique to Roma if the opportunity arises.

Enrique has replaced Vincenzo Montella in the dugout at the Stadio Olimpico, and has hinted that some of his former charges from Barca's B team could follow him to Italy.

When asked by La Gazzetta dello Sport if he wished to team up the former midfielder again at the capital club, the 24-year-old Soriano remarked: "Of course. For the past and for the future, for what we did together in these two years, and for the club he has joined, [and] also for the way he is."

Enrique will look to revive Roma following last season's disappointing campaign which ended with the club finishing outside the Champions League positions and witnessed upheaval in the boardroom.

Soriano feels Enrique is perfect to reinvigorate the team, adding: "He has lots of character and he showed it at Barcelona.

"He has clear ideas and a great philosophy on football which is his greatest passion. He will prove he can compete with the best at Roma."
