thumbnail Hello,

Having left out Cristiano Ronaldo from the squad, Jose Mourinho has reinstated Kaka, Benzema and Higuain to spearhead Madrid's attack

Karim Benzema, Gonzalo Higuain and Kaka will lead Real Madrid's frontline in a 4-3-3 formation against Real Zaragoza after all three were omitted from the Champions League defeat to Barcelona on Wednesday.

The trio were in sizzling form last week as they combined to orchestrate the 6-3 win over Valencia, but none managed to make it into the team in midweek. But with Cristiano Ronaldo dropped from the squad by Jose Mourinho, the 'Special One' has opted to reinstate the three-pronged attack from last Saturay.

Pepe has passed a late fitness test and will start in his new holding midfield position alongside Esteban Granero and Sergio Canales, as Xabi Alonso was left out from the squad. Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria and Marcelo only start from the bench, while youngster Nacho retains his left-back spot.

Confirmed line-ups are as follows:

Real Madrid (4-3-3): Casillas; Sergio Ramos, Garay, Carvalho, Nacho; Granero, Pepe, Canales; Higuain, Benzema, Kaka

SUBS: Adan, Juanfran, Arbeloa, Marcelo, Ozil, Di Maria, Adebayor

Jorge Lopez, Ponzio, Gabi, Lafita; Ikechukwu Uche

SUBS: Leo Franco, N'Daw, Paredes, Pinter, Edmilson, Braulio, Sinama
