Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has made nine changes to his starting line-up from the midweek Copa del Rey win over Barcelona to face Valencia with Cristiano Ronaldo the stand-out player to be dropped to the bench.
The club are to start Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain up-front with support on the flanks coming from Kaka and Sergio Canales.
The injured Sami Khedira is replaced by Lassana Diarra while Esteban Granero comes in for Xabi Alonso to give the side a fresh-look in midfield.
Mourinho will have one eye on Wednesday's first-leg Champions League semi-final with Barcelona as debutant Nacho Fernandez, Ezequiel Garay and Raul Albiol come into the defence with only Iker Casillas and Ricardo Carvalho keeping their places in the team.
