Valencia keen on Barcelona's Martin Montoya - report

Promising defender Martin Montoya could be on his way out of La Liga champions Barcelona at the of the season as Valencia have shown an interest in the full-back.
Highly-rated youngster Martin Montoya has caught the attention of La Liga side Valencia with his good performances for Barcelona B in the past couple of months, Catalan publication Sport reports.

Valencia are in the market for a new right back because of the expected departure of Portuguese defender Miguel this summer, and los Che supposedly consider the 19-year-old to be the perfect replacement.

Montoya is a product of the Barcelona youth academy and made his debut for the Catalan giants in the Primera Division win over Mallorca earlier this year. The right-back has mainly been playing with the reserves, and it appears unlikely that he will get regular first-team action any time soon because of the presence of Dani Alves.

Therefore, Montoya could be on the move this summer, and Valencia appear to be ready to make a swoop for the Spain under-21 defender.

The full-back's current contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2012.
