thumbnail Hello,

Atletico Madrid will try to persuade Arturo Vidal to make the switch to Spain...

Atletico Madrid have set their sights on persuading Bayer Leverkusen's Arturo Vidal to make a summer move to the Vicente Calderon, after the Chilean admitted he wants to prove himself in either Spain or Italy later in his career.

Vidal stated that he is currently happy in the Bundesliga and the versatile midfielder wants to see out his contract with Bayer, which has another four years to run.

AS reports that it is the versatility of the 23-year-old which has attracted Los Colchoneros' officials, who will now set about making Vidal change his mind and move to La Liga sooner than he had intended.

Vidal has played a massive part in the Leverkusen team that sit second in the Bundesliga and are still going strong in the Europa League, with a tie against Villarreal to come in the last sixteen.
