The Barcelona coach hailed his players after their dominant 3-0 victory over Mallorca, reserving special praise for Seydou Keita
Speaking to Spanish sports publication AS, Guardiola said: "Today we have won the game thanks to Keita. He is a strong midfielder, and we need him a lot. I'm happy for him."
Many key players were either rested or injured for the game, as Dani Alves, Xavi, Victor Valdes and Carles Puyol all missed the game for different reasons, but Guardiola was happy with the performances of the players who filled in for the influential quartet.
"I would prefer that they were all available and nobody got hurt, but these things happen," said Guardiola. "If they didn't we would just have 11 players and our accounts would be healthier."
