Sevilla defender Federico Fazio has confessed he finally feels like a footballer again after recovering from the injury that has kept him out of action since the beginning of the season.
The Argentine stopper returned to action in last weekend’s 3-3 draw against Deportivo at the Riazor, after recuperating from an ankle problem which had kept him out since August.
Speaking to the media today, Fazio stressed that now he is back, he will take on any role coach Gregorio Manzano wants him to.
He remarked to the media today: “I am happy to be back, I feel like a player again, and now must try to make my way back into the team.
“I feel good, but I lack a bit of fitness after being so long out, but I welcome the fact that my ankle is not troubling me. I will play central midfield or defence for the team, I have no problems with my versatility.”
Fazio added that the team now must strive for the top four during the league matches that remain, adding: “The goal is playing in the Champions League, which we are far from, but there are seventeen finals left to play and we must give everything because nothing is impossible.”
