Barcelona Sensation Lionel Messi: I Dedicate My Goals To My Grandmother

Lionel Messi gave encouragement to Spanish school children during a Q&A and explained his goal celebrations for club and country.

Lionel Messi took time out from his busy schedule with Barcelona to meet school children in Spain, Marca have reported.

The event was organised by UNICEF, allowing 11 schools to a question and answer event with the 'Messiah' of Camp Nou.

"I started playing football because I loved it. And now I do it not just because football is my profession, but because I get great pleasure from the sport. I continue to treat it as a game," Messi was quoted as saying by the Spanish publication.

Messi went on to explain why he looks upwards to the sky after he scores in celebration.

"I am doing this because I dedicate my goals to my grandmother. She took to me to football but now she can't see how far I have come. Nevertheless, she continues to help me and my family," Messi explained.

The Argentine has been playing at his very best this season, yet you still feel the wizard has more to come, and plenty more dedications to make.
