Spain Defender Joan Capdevila: I Hope To Carry On Playing For Villarreal
By Subhankar Mondal
The World Cup winner with Spain in the summer has been quoted by Spanish sports daily Marca as saying, "My initial desire was to play a game at first and now I have played 350. Now I only think about the next game and although it is true that we are a bit tired after the trip on Sunday, we'll be fine and will have the mind set to win at Espanyol."
Capdevila also welcomed the Prince of Asturias award Spain received for their World Cup heroics and said, "It's a very prestigious award and we are all very proud. For me it was unthinkable to collect an award like this.
"I think that it is a great testament to the great achievement of the Spanish team.
