Second choice Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Pinto has declared that the best is yet to come from first choice shot stopper Victor Valdes.

Veteran custodian Pinto, now in his fourth season with the Blaugrana, also noted that the recent change in goalkeeping coach has brought a fresh approach to training. Carlos Busquets, father of midfielder Sergio Busquets, has taken over as goalkeeping coach since the departure of Juan Carlos Unzue, who left to take charge at Numancia earlier this summer.

"He [Valdes] is at a high level but he hasn't stopped improving. The best Valdes is yet to be seen, he improves every day in many aspects," the 35-year-old was quoted as saying by AS.

"The adaptation [to the new coach] has been very rapid. We had already worked with Carlos Busquets last year and we had a very good relationship from the start. They are both great goalkeeper coaches, they are different, but that's the nice thing, that everyone has their own way of doing things."
