Atletico Madrid have received worrying news ahead of their Spanish Primera Division clash with Athletic Bilbao on Saturday as defender Tomas Ujfalusi missed today's training session with a tendinitis problem.
Spanish sports daily Marca reports that Ujfalusi has a problem with tendinitis in his Achilles' heel and worked with physiotherapists for treatment. However, the Czech defender is expected to recover in time for the visit to San Mames at the weekend.
Fran Merida also missed Tuesday's training session as he is recovering from a muscle injury and could miss out on the trip to Bilbao. Spain U-21 goalkeeper David de Gea, Argentina striker Sergio Aguero and Portugal midfielder Tiago Mendes all missed Tuesday's training session because of international commitments.
