Sevilla youngster Diego Perotti says that the 4-1 win against Levante in their opening game of the Spanish Primera Division was a welcome relief after suffering defeats in the Champions League and Spanish Super Cup.

The Andalucians started the 2010-11 season on a bad note as they lost the Spanish Super Cup over two legs to Barcelona and were also knocked out of the play-off round of the Champions League by Portuguese side Braga

However, Sevilla returned to winning ways as they won against Levante and Perotti believes that this is only going to increase their confidence.

"After the defeats in the Champions League and the Super Cup, we had a victory," said the Argentine, according to Spanish sports daily Marca. "It is very good for me as well as the rest of the players.

"Having played well and scored goals to gain confidence makes us want to start again.

"I still have room for improvement, but I've grown a lot in different aspects. You mature, learning many things - I've evolved a lot."
