Sevilla midfielder Tiberio Guarente has declared that los Nervionenses can compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid for the Primera Liga title but also noted that the Europa League is a priority.
Guarente arrived at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in June after his previous club Atalanta were relegated to Serie B in Italy and the 24-year-old admitted that he is focused on his new club but dreams of playing for Italy.
"It is not impossible. Of course we can compete for the title if we win all of our games," he was quoted as saying by Marca before noting that the Andalusian's are targetting a return to UEFA glory in the new format.
"Our group has very strong teams [Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Karpaty Lviv]. It's the principle competition for our team. I am focused on playing for Sevilla but I dream of getting to the national team."
