Real Sociedad Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo Delighted To Be Back In La Liga
Real Sociedad's Claudio Bravo is satisfied to be first-choice goalkeeper in the Primera Division.
By Paul Macdonald
Real Sociedad goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has expressed his delight of his return to the first team, and is looking forward to the season ahead with the newly-promoted club.
The Chilean international was a key member of La Roja’s World Cup squad, starting all four matches, and was named in goal for the San Sebastian club’s opening-day win against Villarreal.
In an interview with Marca, the 27-year-old gave his impressions of the goals for the campaign, and his role in the side.
He said, “The environment of the Primera Division is completely different, because the names of the opponents are better known and there are many more fans in the stands.
"As a player, you always go to do your best, but it is clear that the challenge is bigger.
“It is my work to keep a clean sheet as many times as possible, because this can give you points. We must go game by game, delivering the best we can in each, and trying to make as few mistakes as possible.
"We must only look to the future in order to grow day by day both individually and as a group.”
Real Sociedad’s next match is a trip to Almeria on Monday, 13 September.
