Racing Santander have completed the signing of striker Markus Rosenberg on loan from Werder Bremen until the end of the season.

With his contract due to expire next summer, the 27-year-old Swede had attracted interest from Kaiserlautern but he extended his deal with Werder until 2012 prior to  making the year long switch to El Sardinero.

Rosenberg, who has played 30 times for Sweden, was surplus to requirements at Weserstadion but is expected to slot into the team in place of Mohamed Tchite who left for Standard Liege.
