Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo Sidelined For Three Weeks
Ronaldo gives Mourinho a deadline day headache...
By Andrew McLean
The ankle injury will force Ronaldo out of action for it least three weeks according to Marca, and continues to extend the long list of injury concerns for coach Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho's decision to play one up front against Real Mallorca exposed a lack of striking depth within the squad. Ronaldo was considered a third option up front, after Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain, but knocks to both their star winger and Benzema has left their coach extremely short of cover.
The Portuguese star will not only be a sore miss for his club but will also be ruled out of Portugal's Euro qualifiers in a week's time.
