Vicente Urges Valencia To Challenge Barcelona & Real Madrid
Big gap to close for los Che...
By Paul Madden
Valencia winger Vicente has urged his side to mount a serious challenge to Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Primera Liga this term.
Los Che finished a massive 25 points adrift of Madrid last season and a further three behind Barca but Vicente hopes his side can be closer this time around and believes they are approaching the new campaign in the right frame of mind.
"Now we have the start of the league and we will go for it from the first game because we have confidence, enthusiasm, and we've trained well," the 29-year-old said, according to Super Deporte.
There are always teams that can make things difficult and hopefully this year it can be Valencia. We will really be going for it this year. we have to give Real and Barca a real fight this year."
