He wants to do it all over again...Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola believes the Spanish champions still have room for improvement and has warned his players against resting on their laurels.
The Blaugrana defeated Sevilla at the weekend to win the Spanish Super Cup and although Guardiola is delighted with the performance, he wants more from his team.
“We played at a very high level and the challenge is to continue to repeat that intensity and attention," Guardiola told the club's official website.
“We have to play with humility. In the games that are supposedly easy, I want to see us running more than our opponents, making as much effort as we did the very first day.
“We have to go back and win everything all over again. There are always things to improve – how players play together, the quality of our training, our mental strength... I believe we can do things even better."
Looking ahead to tonight's Joan Gamper Trophy against Milan, Guardiola said, “I think there are few teams who could dignify our tournament as much as Milan. We're very proud they are here and it'll be a good test for us and a chance to look at a few things."
