The former Brazilian international says he is "unemployed"...

Rivaldo has denied the rumours that were circulating, linking him to a possible return to La Liga after an eight-year absence.

The 1999 Ballon d'Or winner was touted as possibly joining Mallorca on a two-year deal whilst he was on holidays in the region.

But the Brazilian has rubbished the claims via his Twitter account, saying that it is "untrue".

"Everything that is being reported is untrue," the 38-year-old former Barcelona player revealed. "The only truth is that I am now unemployed and I'm heading back to Brazil."

The former Milan player was released from his contract with Uzbekistani side Bunyodkor yesterday.
