Former Brazil international and current Bunyodkor star Rivaldo is currently in negotiations to join Spanish side Mallorca, according to a report in Cadena Ser.

The 38-year-old is wanting a salary of €2 million per season to make the switch from Uzbekistani side, but the website is claiming that the club cannot afford to pay the former Barcelona player that much. Should the attacking midfielder lower his demands, he may be able to join the side prior to the league recommencing.

The 1999 Ballon d'Or winner could return to La Liga, after an eight-year absence where he played for Italian giants Milan, Brazilian club Cruzeiro and Greek side Olympiacos and AEK Athens during this time.

Rivaldo is currently on holidays in Palma de Mallorca.
