The Special One pushed his players despite it being just the second week of pre-season training...

Ten players from the first team (Adan, Drenthe, Gago, Garay, Diarra, Lass, Marcelo, Granero, Pedro Leon, and Benzema) were joined by eight second team players (Tebar, Nacho, Alex Fernandez, Morata, Juanfran, Carvajal, Joselu, and Mejias) to take part in the session. Goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek trained indoors, while Royston Drenthe could be seen wearing a splint on a finger on his right hand, which he injured in a fall, but trained normally.
Of particular note in the training session was the attention Mourinho paid to French striker Karim Benzema, who has had a difficult few days after being charged with soliciting a minor for sex in France. The Portuguese coach could be seen speaking with the striker and his body language seemed to suggest comfort and support for the player.
