Valencia Want Toulouse's Andre-Pierre Gignac As David Villa Replacement - Report
The French forward has attracted the interest of Valencia...
By Stefan Coerts
Reports earlier this week suggested that Valencia are on the verge of selling star player David Villa to Primera Division champions Barcelona for a fee of around €40 million and Los Che are already lining up replacements.
According to a report in Superdeporte, Valencia are considering making a move for Toulouse's French international Andre-Pierre Gignac in the coming summer transfer window.
Valencia coach Unai Emery is known to be a keen admirer of the prolific attacker and the 24-year-old Gignac appears to be ready to make the step to a bigger club this summer.
However, Gignac is not the only candidate to replace Villa up front. The report suggests that Valencia are also keeping tabs on Getafe forward Roberto Soldado and Lorient attacker Kevin Gameiro.
Los Che are not expected to make a move for any of the aforementioned attackers until the transfer of Villa is a done deal though.
