Centre half concedes Barca and Real are in a league of their own...

Valencia defender David Navarro has declared that los Che are champions of Spain's "other" league having guaranteed themselves third place in the Primera Liga.

With Barcelona and Real Madrid fighting for the crown over 20 points clear of the rest, Valencia have come out on top of the rest of Spain's top tier teams and Navarro is hoping they can reinforce their position as best of the rest with a win over local rivals Villarreal at the Madrigal tonight.

"We are winners of the second league you could say," he noted, according to Super Deporte before stating that both Real Madrid and Barcelona deserve to win the title.

"The other day I saw Mallorca against Real Madrid and they are at a high level, but I think the title won't be decided until the end. Both deserve it."

Despite being guaranteed third place and an automatic place in next season's UEFA Champions League, Navarro insists they are going to the Madrigal looking to win.

"It is important that the third place gave us direct access to the Champions League. It's a derby that we are looking forward to although we have nothing more to play for we will go to Villarreal to win," he noted.
