Sevilla's Jesus Navas: We Will Beat Barcelona
Jesus Navas has made a bold prediction ahead of tomorrow's pivotal match...
By Cyrus C. Malek
As reported in an exclusive interview with Marca, the Spanish international has declared that his team "will beat Barcelona" tomorrow because of what is at stake for Los Nervionenses tomorrow.
"We are playing for the Champions League," said Navas, articulating that should Sevilla win tomorrow, they all but ensure their chances of securing a second consecutive berth in Europe's elite competition next year.
Sevilla currently reside in fifth place behind Mallorca and are intent on securing Champions League competition next season. Barca hope to put an end to that dream as the Blaugrana have the chance to wrap up their second consecutive Liga title should Real Madrid falter against Athletic Bilbao.
