Barcelona's Dani Alves Apologises For Sending Off Against Espanyol

Dani Alves thanks his colleagues for ten men display after being sent off against Espanyol...
Brazilian full back Dani Alves received two yellow cards, leaving Barcelona with ten men for over half an hour to secure a point against city rivals Espanyol.

The goalless draw moves Barca four points clear at the top of La Liga from Real Madrid, who have a game in hand.

Dani Alves went on to congratulate his team for their performance with ten men and mentioned his regret for being sent off.

With eleven still on the pitch Barcelona may well have gone on to win to the game, as the controlled much of the ball even with ten.

"I have to congratulate my colleagues for the great work they had to do with one less," Alves told the Spanish press.

The full back said it is a decision he must accept and move on from, with Barca due to play Inter next week in the Champions League. " The duel with Inter promises to be exciting and we will do our best to go to Milan and get a good result".
