English Championship side Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez, according to reports.

North-east based publication Sunday Sun comments that the Magpies have sent scouts to watch the 24-year old winger on a number of occasions, and should they seal promotion back to the top flight as expected, then Newcastle will make a bid.

Hernandez is on the periphery of Spain coach Vicente del Bosque’s squad for the upcoming World Cup in South Africa, and has been capped twice in the past year.

Also on Newcastle’s radar is Getafe attacker Juan Albin, as they look to re-establish themselves in the Premier League.

The Uruguayan has become a regular in the starting line-up for the Madrid-based club.

Newcastle are re-igniting their scouting network with the potential riches of returning to the Premier League, and have targeted players in leagues across the continent, but both Hernandez and Albin allegedly head that list.
