In his pre-match press conference, Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has hit out at Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent, who recently declared that his client was unhappy with his role in the team and is eager to play more.
"I speak with the players and they have the ability to control their agents. It's not in my contract to talk with them through the media," Guardiola announced to AS.
The coach then turned to the game with Real Zaragoza on Sunday evening, and he is unsure as to whether Lionel Messi will be fit enough to play against los Blanquillos. The Argentine is currently suffering with a gum complaint.
"He's gone home and tomorrow we'll see how he is. He's in a lot of pain and it's very swollen," the trainer mused.
"We're trying to make every player feel important and Messi knows that he can enjoy himself on the pitch thanks to the work of his team-mates."
Whether or not Messi takes to the pitch at La Romareda tomorrow, Guardiola will not take Zaragoza lightly.
"[Zaragoza] are a very tough team defensively and who have a very good strategy. Their morale is very good, now that they have extracted themselves from danger. Historically they belong in this competition and La Romareda is one of the best stadiums in La Liga."
