Spanish Competition Committee To Investigate Barcelona's Pep Guardiola
Guardiola could face punishment for his comments accusing referee Clos Gomez and his assistant of lying...
By Cyrus C. Malek
Last Friday, Guardiola accused the referee and his assistant of dishonesty, calling them "liars" for what they included in their report about the Barca coach's complaints which saw him sent off in the match that ended as a draw to end Barcelona's reign atop the Liga table.
The Appeals Committee decided not to rescind the punishment and Guardiola was forced to sit in the stands in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Valencia.
But, as reported by AS, the Competition Committee will take measures against Guardiola for those comments and, depending on the findings of the investigation, could suspend the Barca coach for more matches.
