SEVILLA

Palop: 6
- He had no chance with Adrian's equaliser, but he dealt well enough with the few other shots that Deportivo were able to muster.

Stankevicius: 6.5 - Got forward well but he allowed Guardado too much space for equaliser. Sevilla also need to make more of his long throws as they often left too few men in the box to really take advantage.

Fazio: 7.5 - Put Sevilla in front with a clever header from Perotti's free kick, and put in a very sound defensive performance as he stifled Deportivo's attacking threat.

Escude: 6.5 - Made one or two mistakes in defence, particularly when he allowed Adrian to nip in front of him for the goal, but also made some crucial interceptions.

Adriano: 6 - Linked well with Perotti in the attacking third but his delivery was often lacking in quality and he was not tight enough on his man in defence.

Navas: 5.5 - Quiet evening for Navas, who was expertly marshalled by Laure. There was little sign of his usual trickery and pace on the right hand side and Sevilla suffered as a result.

Zokora: 7.5 - He worked very hard, closing down the Deportivo midfielders relentlessly and not allowing them time on the ball. Played with his head up and looked to spread the play quickly.

Renato: 5.5 - Let his team down a little tonight with a slightly lazy performance - perhaps his mind was on the Champions League clash with Sevilla.

Perotti: 7 - Well worked free kick to set up the first goal, and his ball into the box often caused a lot of problems for the Deportivo back four. Replaced midway through the second half.

Negredo: 5 - Disappointing up front and missed a good chance in the first half before being withdrawn with an injury 10 minutes into the second period.

Kanoute: 5.5 - Rarely threatened in attack and was weak in the air. Looked unusually frustrated tonight, with his emotions boiling over as he tussled with Antonio Tomas to earn a booking.

Substitutes:

Luis Fabiano: 6.5 - Looked more dangerous than either of the strikers who started the game and hit the crossbar with a header.

Capel: 6 - Nearly set up Fazio for the winner in injury time, but found life difficult against Manuel Pablo.

Acosta: 5.5 - Made a rare appearance as he came on with 15 minutes to go.

DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA

Aranzubia: 5
- Could have done better with Fazio's header while he was fortunate not to be sent off as Navas' shot hit his arm outside the box. Never confident in the air - not his best evening.

Manuel Pablo: 7 - Perotti's ability to cross the ball with either foot gave him endless difficulty, but he was far more comfortable when faced with Diego Capel.

Colotto: 7.5 - Strong performance in the air as he won numerous headers against Negredo and Kanoute, and his early yellow card did not adversely affect his performance.

Lopo: 7.5 - Frustrated Sevilla with his last-ditch tackles and crucial challenges, such as against Acosta in the final minutes, and rarely allowed them a sight on goal.

Laure: 7.5 - Typically a right back, he has been deputising at left back after the injury to Filipe Luis and coped admirably when he was faced with the threat of Jesus Navas.

Juan Dominguez: 6.5 - Involved in the move for the equaliser but should have put Deportivo in front when he had a one-on-one opportunity against Palop but shot weakly.

Juan Rodriguez: 6 - Lost the ball on too many occasions and was too quiet in the final third, but his presence in the packed midfield zone restricted Sevilla's creativity.

Antonio Tomas: 6.5 - Put in a tenacious performance as he shielded the back four. Picked up a yellow card for tussling with Kanoute.

Guardado: 7 - While he was afforded the space to do so by Stankevicius, he put in a good cross for equaliser and tried to test Palop with efforts from range.

Valeron: 7.5 - Made some clever passes, particularly for Guardado in the 37th minute, and showed great vision throughout. Tired towards the end of the second half and was replaced with 10 minutes to go.

Adrian: 6.5 - Scored his first league goal since December as he made a darting run in front of Escude to sidefoot home from close range.

Substitutes:

Pablo Alvarez: 6 - Replaced Antonio Tomas with quarter of an hour remaining and tried to protect his defence as Sevilla dominated the final stages.

Lassad: 5.5 - Not completely fit but replaced Valeron in the final minutes nonetheless and didn't have much of an impact.

Bodipo: N/A - No time to influence the game after coming on for Guardado in the 85th minute.
