Barcelona's Lionel Messi: What Happened To Real Madrid Should Serve As A Warning For Us
Messi spoke of the lesson to be learnt from Madrid's disaster...

Taking questions after a publicity event for Unicef, Barcelona's Lionel Messi commented on Real Madrid's disastrous elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Lyon.
"We have come here to speak about Unicef, but I will respond to your question," said Messi. "We have a match against Stuttgart in which nothing is definite and we need to take what happened at the Bernabeu as a warning. We have to have our feet on the ground and think of ourselves.
"We always try to approach each match with humility. Last year we had the fortune of winning everything, but this year we start at nothing and we have to work hard to win things".
When asked about carrying the team, Messi denied such responsibility. "I do not go out with the team on my back and I didn't do it last year. It is very difficult for one player to win titles alone."
As for Barca's recent form, Messi was optimistic. "We are playing well, but are not achieving results."
