Sergio Ramos' 3-0 Prediction Provoked Confrontation Between Real Madrid And Lyon - Report
Sergio Ramos did not like being called out on his controversial prediction...
By Cyrus C. Malek
Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos was involved in a heated discussion with Lyon pair Cesar Delgado and Lisandro Lopez as the players retired to the dressing room after Lyon dumped Madrid out of the Champions League last night.
Marca reports that after the disappointing display by Los Blancos, Lisandro and Delgado confronted Ramos, taunting him for the declarations he made in Marca earlier in the week that Madrid would beat Lyon by a 3-0 margin. Ramos reportedly responded with insults of his own and the players had to be separated by Gonzalo Higuain, who also had a few choice words for the Lyon players.
"It was a typical exchange between competitive players and that's all. We lost respect because we have to know how to lose as well as know how to win. There were insults, but it stopped at that," said Ramos about the incident.
In speaking about the confrontation, Lisandro said that he told Sergio Ramos that the defender should "show them more respect" and that "there are players that like to talk hot and later one should let them know about it".
