As reported by Barcelona-based daily Sport, Franck Ribery is one of Pep Guardiola's prime targets for next summer's transfer season. Widely regarded as Thierry Henry's substitute in the squad next year, the Bayern Munich player is said to cost a hefty sum and with other teams in the mix for the Frenchman's signature including Chelsea and Real Madrid, his signing will not be easy.

One of the rumours that has arisen is that Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic, long admired by Bayern, could be included in a deal to bring Ribery to the Camp Nou, but in comments reported on German media outlet Fussball Transfers' webpage, Krkic's advisor, Zoran Vekic has unequivocally denied this possibility.

"There is no discussion between Bayern and Barcelona for Bojan Krkic. This is purely speculation," says Vekic, who attributes the rumours to the Catalan club's upcoming elections.

Since breaking into the Barcelona first team with a series of impressive displays, Krkic has seen limited minutes at the Camp Nou this season, but has consistently voiced his desire to stay at the club and earn a more regular role.
